At Redmon Fox we specialize in hand raising Red Fox (V. Vulpes) as human companions. Red fox naturally breed during the winter, between late December and early February. During this time we give our fox free access to one another in our breeding pens and let nature take its course. Their kits will be born in late March or early April, approximately 52 days after conception Kits will remain with the mother approximately two weeks before we choose which ones we will hand raised. At two weeks old the kits will open their eyes, at this time, we will begin the bonding process. We do not take all of the kits away from any one mother. We hand raise a limited number of kits to ensure that each kit receives proper attention during this crucial time. Kits that are hand raised are just that; hand raised. They will be kept in a training cage just like puppies. Complete with a bed, litter box, and, of course, toys. They will be fed formula until they are ready for solid foods. They will have almost constant interaction with people and our other pets. By the time they reach eight weeks old they will be well on their way to being litter box trained, eating solid food and accustom to other pets; and will be ready to bond with their adoptive parents. |

Adoption Fees:
To ensure that each hand raised kit receives the best possible care, kits available for adoption are limited. Deposits ensure adoption.
Red Fox, (v., vulpes) are $600.00 for male or female. (Included is: first shot or shots, worming). Health certificate, and travel carrier will be provided if fox is being shipped. There is a $100.00 deposit required to hold a fox for you. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE, unless for some reason we cannot provide your fox for adoption. How Does Shipping Work? Sorry no credit cards accepted. If you want an untamed, mother raised fox, you will have to contact me for specific details.
If you want a fox younger than 8 weeks, you must convince Jim that you know what you are asking for, Special arrangements can be made. Kits younger than 8 weeks will not be shipped, pick up only, No Exceptions!! |
