3.) How much is shipping?
ANSWER: Shipping by air is an additional $ 400.00. This includes: shipping, health certificate, and travel carrier.

4.) Will my fox be ok during shipping to me?
ANSWER: Yes, your fox will be ok while being shipped to you. The airlines take good care of the fox. If we had any concerns about your pet being shipped, we would not do it. When your fox is being ship it will be alone for the first time in its life. You should give your fox lots of attention and love to begin its lifelong bond with you. Your fox will be looking for someone to connect with.

5.) Can I pick up my fox?
ANSWER: Yes, you can pick up your fox; we encourage it. That way you may also pick out the one you want. We will provide a travel carrier to you if you choose to pick up your fox.

6.) Is it legal/illegal to own a fox in my state?
ANSWER: Each state has its own rules and regulations. To find out about your state; contact your Fish and Wildlife Department or Department of Natural Resources.

7.) Will my fox get aggressive as he/she gets older?
ANSWER: Every animal has their own personalities. This sometimes can happen with any animal when it reaches sexual maturity, (Approximately 8-12 months old), during mating season, or if they have babies to protect. If the animal is going to be keep as a pet, we highly recommend you have the animal spayed/neutered before he/she reaches sexual maturity.

8.) Can I have my veterinarian spay/neuter my fox?
ANSWER: You will need to talk to your veterinarian first. Not all veterinarians will do this procedure. It would behoove you to find a veterinarian before purchasing your fox.

9.) How do I care for a fox?
ANSWER: You should do lots of research on fox before you get one. A fox is not a dog. They need veterinary treatment like any other pet. Find your vet before you get your fox. We feed our fox high protein dog food, 28% protein, and supplement with cooked meat occasionally, they also get regular dog treats. (NOT RAWHIDE) Most of all, you give them love and attention. All pets require your time and effort, a fox is no different. Properly cared for, your fox will be a loving friend for years to come.

10.) Do you guarantee your fox, if so how long?
ANSWER: Yes, there is a 48 hour natural death guarantee from the time the fox leaves our custody. A pet fox can live as long as 15 years, however, once it leaves our care you are in control of its health and welfare.

11.) Is there an adoption contract, and do I need to sign it?
ANSWER: Yes, you need to sign our adoption contract before we can sell you a fox. This way we know that you understand and except the terms of the adoption.

12.) How do I get this adoption contract?
ANSWER: You can download it off our web site, or we will mail it to you if you request. Read it, sign it, and return it to us by mail, with your deposit. We will only take deposits after we confirm conception.

13.) Will my fox get along with my other animals?
ANSWER: If you get your fox when it's a kit/pup, it will get along with your other animal. All of our kits are around dogs and cats so they are used to them before you even get them. The question is: will your other animals like the fox? It would be a smart to introduce them under supervision.

14.) Will a fox make a good pet for my children?
ANSWER: We don't recommend a fox as a child's pet. Children should be supervised with any animal. To tell you anything else would be irresponsible.

15.) If I have a deposit down on my fox, can the price of my fox be changed?
ANSWER: No.

16.) Can you hold a fox for me?
ANSWER: Yes, You will need to put $100.00 (NON REFUNDABLE) deposit down on your fox to secure your adoption.

17.) If I decide I don't want to purchase the fox I have a deposit on, can I get my deposit back?
ANSWER: No, deposits are NON REFUNDABLE. The purpose of a deposit is to commit to the purchase of the fox. The only way Redmon Fox can refund any deposit is if the fox is not available for purchase.

18.) Will my fox smell?

ANSWER: Fox have scent glands and produce a strong skunk like small. If you intend to have a fox as an indoor pet you will want to have these gland removed by your vet. Removal of these glands is a delicate and potentially dangerous surgery (Get Informed). Removal of these glands will not stop the odor of fox urine; urine smell and scent glands are two different things. Do your research before having this done.

19.) Can I train my fox?

Answer: Yes; you train a fox just like you would train a dog. They can be leash trained, house trained, and even litter box trained. They are easiest to train as kits so get started! The more effort you are willing to put in the more your fox will respond. You can even teach them tricks just like a dog. However, fox are not dogs!
